Background

Formerly known as the World Congress of History Producers, History Makers, the International Summit of History and Current Affairs Producers, reveals current thinking and trends that inspire the world's best programs and program creators and presents the most innovative ways of making history resonate with today. We'll also look at the latest programming trends, changes in technology, new platforms, the spread of digital and high definition services and new video-on-demand channels.

In order to ensure the most successful event ever, History Makers will bring in the very best that both genres have to offer. Headliners, provocative thinkers, journalists and producers will challenge delegates with their ideas and experiences. Current thinking and trends which inspire the world's best programs and program creators, will be revealed through high-profile keynote addresses, master classes, debates and workshops. We'll examine new trends in history and current affairs programming and introduce new success strategies for producers.

In addition to the formal program, this event will be characterised by the constant buzz of meetings where new projects are pitched, discussed and born. Lastly, the Summit will honour the year's outstanding programs and their makers with special awards.
